Union Physical Therapy offers a unique approach to the treatment of orthopedic conditions and vestibular dysfunction. Our team of well trained manual physical therapists offer an eclectic, whole body approach to addressing injury and movement dysfunction. Underlying movement dysfunction patterns are identified and addressed. Rarely are individual body parts treated in isolation. Patients are assessed and treated in the most practical way possible using evidence based practice, advanced clinical examination techniques, manual therapy, movement education and exercise prescription.

Your therapist will assist with managing some of the physical challenges of pregnancy using a combination of hands-on techniques, education and gentle movement/exercise to help you stay active throughout your pregnancy. Postpartum care will address muscle tension and posture and positioning associated with early infant care. Your therapist will design an exercise program specific for you to help you return to your sport or activity safely and with confidence.

Modalities

Ultrasound, traction, and electrical stimulation are used on a limited basis during your treatment sessions to make the best use of your time in the clinic. If it is deemed necessary we can help you to acquire a home unit and educated you in it’s use for independent and self management of pain symptoms.
